Fıstıkzade announces the good news of sugar and aspartame free Original Gaziantep baklava. Fıstıkzade Baklava offered its low-calorie diet baklava sweetened with South America-based stevia plant through natural methods to its baklava fans. Thanks to this South American plant, the original Gaziantep baklava acquired a sugar and aspartame free and low-calorie form. As a result of 6-month work by the food engineers in the R&D department of Fıstıkzade, first of all, the calorie count of flour and butter was dropped to zero and then beet sugar was replaced by stevia so that the sugar level went down to zero too in the stevia baklava. Stevia baklavas are offered for sale in all of the Fıstıkzade stores in Turkey.

One of the plants that involve diabetics the most, Stevia grows in South America. Thanks to the glycosides found in Stevia leaves that taste sweeter than the saccharose, it has been used as a sweetener in this continent for centuries. The term tamarind (Tamarindus indica) is derived from tamr-ı hindi which means “Indian date palm” in Arabic. Grown In warm countries (especially India) with flowers in yellow-red bunches and of dark maroon color is a tree, 10-25 m tall with fruits that look like locust trees, tasting sourish. With an average lifespan of 150 years, these trees give fruits weighing around 225 kg. While the fruits are used as spices, leaves and seeds as well as the fruit are used in medicine very commonly. In its fruit composition, there are protein, sugar, pectin, Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and C as well as potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, calcium, iron, selenium and copper. The tamarind sherbet prepared from the tamarind fruit is the most famous one of the traditional sherbets. With a highly labored preparation, this sherbet is believed to heal 40 problems.
