Fıstıkzade Now In İzmir

Becoming a Gaziantep-based baklava producer giving franchises in Turkey, Fıstıkzade opened its first store in İzmir in a ceremony with a large attendance. One of the most important producers of Gaziantep baklava, Fıstıkzade opened its 10th store in İzmir in its effort to spread the traditional palatal delight to all over the country. Located on Mustafa Kemal Street in Bornova, the first store of Fıstıkzade in İzmir was flooded with foodies since the very first day. In the opening ceremony where a large number of invitees and citizens attended, the guests were offered Gaziantep baklava. Saying that they opened the 10th store they have in three different concepts in İzmir, Fıstıkzade Executive Board Member Vedat Diri said "We opened our first store in İzmir. All of our products are produced in Gaziantep. This is the only condition we seek in franchising. We competed with Greece on this." "NO BUTTER USED," Diri says that according to the regulation issued, from now on, the baklavas produced in Gaziantep will not be able to be sold under the name of "Gaziantep Baklavası", and adds: "We produce our products in Gaziantep and ship them all over Turkey. The fellow citizens can tell that it is Gaziantep baklava from its pistachio and the smell of its butter. Gaziantep baklava is made not with butterfat, but rather with plain butter. The processed butterfat is made only if it no longer has ayran in it. The flour used in its dough should be made from tough wheat. Sugar should be natural beet sugar. Otherwise, that baklava cannot be called Gaziantep baklava." "ORIGINAL BAKLAVA SHOULD CONTAIN PISTACHIO" Stating that there are many large and small businesses in the market, Diri says: "There are baklavas made with chocolate or strawberry. In this sense, the original Gaziantep baklava shall contain pistachio. There is a large amount of pistachio in it and you smell that butter. We have a slogan called "test with five senses". The citizens will test the baklava with their five senses. If only it passes the test, that baklava is the Gaziantep baklava."
