They Take Sugar Out of Baklava, Taste Remains Intact

Gaziantep-based baklava producer Fıstıkzade launched its low-calorie diet baklava naturally sweetened with the stevia plant in its store that it has opened in Ataşehir, Istanbul for the baklava fans in İstanbul. Fıstıkzade Baklavaları opening their first branch in Ataşehir, İstanbul received a lot of attention. AK Party Şırnak Deputy Abdullah Veli Seyda, TÜRKONFED Executive Board Head  Tarkan Kadooğlu, Gaziantep Head of the Chamber of Commerce Eyüp Bartık and a number of people attended the opening. Fıstıkzade Stevia Baklava became the highlight of the opening with its special focus on the diabetics. 

FISTIKZADE STEVIA BAKLAVA A RESULT OF R&D WORK 

The general Coordinator of Fıstıkzade Baklavaları Vedat Diri provided information while introducing Fıstıkzade Stevia: "We now have branches across Turkey. We produce Gaziantep baklava with the most traditional methods and natural ingredients. As a response to the complaints coming from the diet patients in particular as to why they cannot eat baklava, we sped up our new product development works. We brought the Stevia plant that is grown in the Southern America region. We tried to adapt this vegetable ingredient which is a natural sweetener which regulates sugar blood for the diabetics into our original Gaziantep baklava. R&D works were carried out by our food engineers. As a result of our 6-month work, the calorie of flour and butter was lowered and with stevia that replaced the beet, the calorie coming from the sugar was lowered to zero with a special formula. We combined these works with Stevia and got the report." WE EXPORT BAKLAVA. Saying that they also started exporting the Original Gaziantep baklava, Diri added: "Our R&D works are underway. We have reached a one-year-old shelf life in baklava through a cold chain or special preservation system. Thanks to these scientific methods, we are now aiming to make the original Gaziantep baklava accessible to not only Turkey but also all over the world."ISTANBUL WILL GET ENOUGH OF BAKLAVA The business runner of Fıstıkzade Ataşehir Branch Nilüfer Özyıldırım says that İstanbul will get enough of baklava and adds: "We started our journey six months ago with a motto that İstanbul will get enough of baklava. We are very pleased to open our first store in Ataşehir. We sell healthy Gaziantep baklava and dessert at a level of freshness and quality anyone can eat confidently. Stevia Baklava is a specially designed product, which was launched in our store for the first time. The first impressions are pretty good. Now, diabetics can also have baklava with ease. "OUR GOAL BY THE END OF 2016 IS 10 POINTS," Fıstıkzade Baklavaları İstanbul Master Franchisor İlyas M. Özyıldırım said: "While starting our journey, we wanted to introduce İstanbul to the original Gaziantep baklava. It is no doubt that you can find baklava anywhere but it is not always the original Gaziantep Baklava. We are going to increase our number of branches in 2016. We are going to make sure that all İstanbul will meet the original Gaziantap baklava. Our goal by the end of 2016 is to introduce İstanbul at 10 different locations to the Fısıtkzade brand. "
